On Friday 14th October 2016, 60 Help supporters were part of the audience for ‘Everybody Sing!’, a performance at St Paul’s church in Covent Garden as part of the Brandenburg Choral Festival.
The evening showcased the vocal talents of three choirs: Woolwich Singers, the Telegraph Choir and the Citi Choir. Citi Choir were formed in 2013 as part of Gareth Malone’s Sing While You Work TV programme.
There was a wide range of music on offer, from classical choral pieces to Adele. Audience members left inspired to sing — a few Help attendees even planned to find a local choir to join!
Overall, our ticket sales for the event raised around £760 for Help, meaning we can support more people who might not otherwise be able to access counselling. Brandenburg has also offered us the opportunity to take part in future choral festivals to raise money and awareness of Help’s work.
Help’s Sanna Savolainen-Shankley was surprised on the night with a bunch of flowers and a bottle of cava as the lucky purchaser of Brandenburg’s 2000th online ticket. She is pictured with the Help stand at the church.
