Help Counselling Services
Online and video counselling
Help Counselling Service has been supporting the local community in West London for over 50 years providing affordable and professional talking therapies and counselling services. Help’s aim is to enable people to access both affordable and long term counselling. Help services start at £25 per session, we enable clients to access long term support at a significant discount to private therapy rates. Unlike some other counselling services or the NHS IAPT service, Help clients can engage with counselling for the long term (up to 55 sessions).
We have over 30 counsellors working with Help with a breadth of skillsets. Help counsellors provide counselling from integrative modalities. This is a way of working that allows the counsellor to access several different approaches and tools, so they can best support the individual needs of a client and the presenting issue they bring. Consequently, our service is not informed by one way of thinking, and we aim to work with clients in an individual way that best suits them because we understand that everyone is different. Appointments are available Monday to Friday, with both day time and evening appointments.
To immediately enquire about our affordable counselling service please click on the ‘read more’ within the access counselling tab below to complete our contact form. We will then revert back to you with any further questions or to confirm your assessment. The assessment will take up to 60 minutes over the phone or via zoom conference call. This is an opportunity for you to meet one of the members of our clinical team and find out more about Help counselling. The role of the assessor is to better understand the support you are seeking right now and ask you some open questions so we can better understand where you are at and to match you to the right counsellor. The assessment is very much confidential, and both a reflective and supportive process.
Help has been proudly based on the Portobello road for over 40 years, and during this time, has met the call for local action and proudly provided counselling and support to the local community post the Grenfell disaster. With the COVID 19 restrictions in place, all services are currently being successfully delivered online with video conferencing. This not only enables Help to continue it’s mission to support the local communities, but the online service allows people across the UK to access low cost counselling. Help does have the ambition to return to face to face work in the near future.
