This week marks the anniversary of the Grenfell Tower tragedy. It will be a difficult week for everyone affected, but we are hoping that there is some comfort in knowing that the community is standing with you.
Help Counselling’s hearts and thoughts are with everyone who has been affected; directly or indirectly. If you would like to know how you can show your support this week, please see here for the various events taking place in North Kensington.
Following a major incident, it is normal to feel all sorts of strong emotions. It is important to talk about how we are feeling and to support each other. Help Counselling can support those who have been affected by the tragedy with one to one counselling. For example, we are currently supporting:
- Individuals that work for local organisations who are supporting those affected by the Grenfell fire. We have been providing free listening/psychosocial support for individuals and their teams;
- We are also offering our usual counselling service free of charge for anyone directly or indirectly affected by Grenfell
If you would like to seek counselling, please call the Help Counselling’s office on 020 7221 9974 or email [email protected] to discuss. Our office is open Monday-Friday 9:30am – 5:30pm.
If you need to speak to someone out of these hours, please contact the Central North West London NHS on 0800 0234 650. This number is available 24 hours a day. Alternatively, please call the Samaritans on 116 123 – a free helpline there to help when you’re feeling down or desperate (operates 24 hours a day).
