How your organisation can help
A sustainable future can only be built in partnership with all of those in the community. With a common goal, to create a better community, more and more organisations in the area are contributing to Help. We want to be here to help your employees, their families and their neighbours.
A partnership with us is a great way to motivate employees, gain insight into mental health, and support Help Counselling to assist vulnerable individuals in our local community.
Ways your organisation can support us
Charity of the Year
Choose Help Counselling as your Charity of the Year and we will work with you to build a calendar of engagement and fundraising. We will support you on engaging your workforce in the charity’s values, and provide ideas, inspiration and support from our Philanthropy Manager.
Payroll Giving is a tax effective way to make a regular monthly donation to Help Counselling. Monthly donations provide us with a sustainable income so that we can commit to helping more individuals with counselling. Your continued support will ensure that no one in our community suffers alone.
Donating through your salary enables you to commit to Help Counselling straight from your gross salary (before tax is deducted):How to set up Payroll Giving:
If your organisation is not registered for the scheme, they can sign up with a payroll giving agency that can process employee donations. You can find a list of payroll giving approved agencies on GOV.UK
There is no long-term commitment. If your circumstances change and you no longer wish to donate to Help Counselling, simply tell your employer. Also, if you change your job, your donations will not be able to be transferred to your new employer – you will need to start a new payroll giving scheme.
Display a collection tin & flyers
Could you display one of Help Counselling’s collection tins and/or flyers in your office or shop? This would help us to collect much needed donations to continue our vital work in our community.
Run a fundraising event
Your employees could run their own fundraiser to help raise vital funds for our work. Click here for ideas!
Gifts in Kind
From furniture to professional services, donations don’t have to take the form of cash. Gifts in Kind can be a really valuable way to support Help Counselling’s vital work. Items that we are looking for include:
- Boxes of tissues
- Computer/office equipment
- Raffle/auction prizes for our events
- Flowers for our counselling rooms and waiting area
The items above would help enormously by contributing to the calm, peaceful environment that we aim to create here at Help Counselling. Gifts in Kind can save our small charity a lot of money and can make a real difference.
Pro bono support
Pro bono work from experienced professionals in areas such as fundraising, public relations, communications & marketing, data protection, human resources, legal services and accountancy can help us to grow and develop Help Counselling. Your time and expertise could free up resources so that a greater proportion of funds can be used to support our clients.
